Research

Sera works on the social-dynamics portion of the simulation pool: environments where agent-agent interaction, partial information, and stable conventions are the load-bearing features of the dynamics. She is a co-author on the 70k-env study and on the lab's compositional latent dynamics paper.

She has been with alphabell since 2020. She is based in Colombo and is one of the contributors who works closely with the Colombo university cluster's robotics group — specifically on extending the cable-manufacturing collaboration into multi-robot settings that benefit from social-dynamics pretraining.

Sera maintains a personal blog on the topic of social-environment design for AI research; the blog is well-regarded inside the lab and is often cited in cross-axis review.

Background

Ph.D. machine learning, University of Cambridge, 2016.

Prior to alphabell: Cambridge; Riken AIP (visiting); Wayfarer Institute.
